Welcome, Talofa, Konnicha wa, Bonjour...
We are so excited to be teaching in Room 17 this year and we can't wait to see all the students and meet their parents too.
Who are 'WE'?
Room 17 is taught by Mrs Scott (Monday & Tuesday) and Mrs Robinson (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) this year. We both started teaching at Ilam School in 2010 in the senior team. Since then, we have both had a child and been doing release teaching and relieving. So we are now very excited to be back in the classroom teaching our own class.

Tena Koutou, I'm Nicola Scott. My husband Matt and I have a daughter Chelsea, who just turned two in December, and a very boisterous dog, Indy. I love swimming, reading and handicrafts, and am partial to trying out the new eateries popping up all over the city!
Karina and I know each other very well. As well as joining Ilam School the same year, we have spent a lot of time together coaching Jump Jam. In 2013 we proudly took the Senior Girls team to compete at the National Finals in Auckland. Karina and I have also spent time collaborating in curriculum teams, helping to develop plans and resources. It will be lovely to work collaboratively once again.
2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year, and I'm looking forward to getting to know all the children in Room 17 and their families. I would love for families and carers to pop in and say "Hi" on a Monday or Tuesday.
Hi! I'm Karina Robinson. My husband and I have one son, Aidan, who is three in April. Aidan loves to help look after our two dogs Charlie and Sydney (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels), our two cats Blue and Leo and our recently renamed goldfish Goldie (after the fish in Peppa Pig).
I'm really excited to be working with Nicola this year. Having two teachers for Room 17 will keep things fresh and there's so much more two heads can do better than one. I have been fortunate enough to have already taught a lot of the children over the past two years and look forward to getting to know even more about them and meeting more of their family. I'm also looking forward to getting to know the other members of the class and their families during the year. 2017 is going to be a lot of fun!
